Usually I blog about jewelry. Specifically diamonds and engagement rings. But today I want to talk about a different diamond... the baseball diamond. It's mid-July and there's nothing better than talking about America’s Pastime.

One Sunday night, while scrolling through Amazon Prime Video, I came across a documentary by Ken Burns called "Baseball." While this is an excellent nine-part series filled with nostalgia and poetic quotes from the likes of Walt Whitman, it’s a bit slow moving.

So.... I’ve decided to put together a list of what I think are the 5 best baseball movies of all time. If you're feeling blue from watching the news, the upcoming mid-term elections, or your staring at your smart phone furiously scrolling through your social media feeds, then maybe it's time to take a break and pop on one of these classic baseball movies.

I’ve linked each movie to its IMDB page. Let me know what you think of my list.

1.       The Natural

2.       Field of Dreams

3.       The Sandlot

4.       Bull Durham

5.       A League of Their Own

*Honorable Mentions* : Bad News Bears and Major League

I’ll get back to writing about diamonds and jewelry soon. For now, I welcome the distraction of baseball.

Back in the day, my field of dreams was the parking lot of the old Summer Avenue store. Check it out in the video below:
